Overview About the Society

The Society of the Sisters of Charity of Secunderabad Province is a Registered Society under the Public Registration Act, in the year 1963. It serves the States of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Egypt and Israel through a number of Schools, Colleges, Hospitals and socio-pastoral services.

Vijay Marie Hospital had a humble beginning in the midst of Chintal Basthi Slums in the year 1948. Today, it has grown into a 250 bedded General Hospital, catering to all the sections of society, especially the poor.

VIJAY MARIE SCHOOL OF NURSING was established in the year 1973. Over the past 52 years, it has proved to be one of the best schools of Nursing in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, maintaining high professional standards and providing all-round development to the students. To cope with the rapid advancement in Health Sciences and to meet the demands of the society, the Management took the initiative to start VIJAY MARIE COLLEGE OF NURSING and today, it has become a reality.

We have obtained approval of the Government of Telangana, Indian Nursing Council, New Delhi and affiliation to Dr.K.N.R University of Health Sciences, Warangal. With due permission from our Generalate, Milan, Italy, the management took further step in starting M.Sc (N) from 2013.

With blessings from the Almighty God, the College went through the process of many inspections by INC, State Nursing Council and Dr. K.N.R University of Health Sciences and obtained the necessary permission to begin the M.Sc (N) course from the academic year 2013-2014 that was then affiliated to NTR University, Vijaywada.
